Running BIRT Engine inside EJB Container

I'm developing a solution using Message-Driven beans and I want to run BIRT Engine for reporting generation and after that persists the report in a BLOB field inside my DB2 database, but when the code runs Platform.startup(config), it returns null.

Anyone who uses BIRT know something about this?

I've successfully managed to embed the Report Engine into glassfishv3. The code and instructions on how I did this are here:<br />
