Web CMS (TeamSite)
Different web server on TeamSite box
System
Hi,
We r in a proces to install TeamSite (5.5.2) on Solaris with Oracle web server (as per client request). Anybody have experience using a web server different than regular suggested web servers (iPlanet, Apache, Netscape) on TeamSite box? Specially with Oracle 9i/9iAS web server?? If yes.. what r the typical installation steps?
!thanx

Answer 1:
Teamsite installs its own webservices for its gui (iw-webd and servletd). The 'other' webserver will be your preview server, one that is used to preview the content you have created in TeamSite. What is important is that your preview server has the ability to preview your content.
So if you are generating html, you will probably be fine with any webserver.
Answer 2:
I'm assuming you think you will have problems with the TeamSite GUI server (see answer 1). What you need to do is use a different port for the TeamSite GUI.
So if the Oracle server is on port 80, you don't want to use that port for TeamSite service. Use 81 or 82 or whatever.
Answer 3:
You want to use the Oracle webservice for the TeamSite gui? Don't do it, don't try it you will run into a lot of problems. More than it is worth.
Why should I bother with a sig.

That was pretty good one triptol. More I was looking for is, installation of Oracle-9iAS (already installed) on the same TeamSite server. How does it affects? may be performance wise or any other issues. As i know installtion of other servers is not recommended by InterWoven.

I asked a few people, and this web server is not supported with TeamSite at this time. You would be totally on your own going this route.
