MS Word export

Hi,

I have created report for our business department. Report in native BIRT format is ok, but they want to export the report into MS Word format. Report looks very similar in MS word (little changes in padding, margin, font size and font as well). Business department said ok but the font must be Arial (as in BIRT) not Times. Arial is set in BIRT and Times is exported in MS Word.

Does anyone know how to change it?
How the BIRT generate doc file? Does BIRT use some word dot template? If yes, where is stored?

Hello

I have run some tests and found out that the Arial font is exported correctly.

Therefore I believe that there is some refernce to another font in your design. The easiest way to check is to load the report design in a text editor (as the format is xml) and serach for the word font. This will show what fonts are used and you will be able to see if there are other fonts being used.

Remember though if the font is not a physical font then the font will be substitued for another one.
