JDBC Connection Problem
Lianite
Greetings,
Me and my team need to connect to our AS400 database using a JDBC connection. This has been successful, but there has been a small hiccup.
We are able to query from the database, however in the dataset editor, we are not able to see the tables. We can see the schemas/libraries in the datasource, but not the tables within them.
Normally this wouldn't be a problem, except that over half of the group I am with do not know SQL at all. We need to be able to see all tables within each schema/library so that these users can drag-n-drop columns into the query.
Any ideas as to why we are unable to see the tables/fields?
Is this a BIRT configuration error or would this be something that needs to be corrected on the database side?
Thank you for your prompt reply,
Jordan Trulen

Nevermind, we found the answer to this question already.
We hadn't clicked on the 'Show System Tables' box and applied the filter.
Once we did that, all the views we needed to see became visible.
