Report development required clarification

Hi,

Am using birt 2.5.1 all in one.

i have developed some reports using windows machine its working fine.

i have developed some reports for some other client using 2.3 birt in Linux version.

in svn i have both projects.

my query is

i will check out my project from svn where i had developed reports using linux and birt 2.3. if i develop reports in windows environment and birt 2.5 it will work?

I'm not 100% clear on what you're asking, but I'll give it a shot. A report design file is just an XML file whether designed on a linux box or a windows box, so that won't matter. If you're trying to run BIRT 2.3 designs in BIRT 2.5, there were some changes from 2.3 to 2.5 that will have to be changed to run using 2.5, but this doesn't effect most reports. If you're trying to run BIRT 2.5 reports in BIRT 2.3, you will get a version mismatch error. Hopefully this answered your question. If not, let me know.
