Error on Execute the report from .jar

Hallo to everybody, 
 
I use this example 
' <a class='bbc_url' href='http://wiki.eclipse.org/Simple_Execute_(BIRT)_2.1'>Simple Execute (BIRT) 2.1 - Eclipsepedia</a> ', 
to execute, from java, a report that i have created in BIRT. 
It works excellent in the Eclipse environment. i execute the report and i save it 
as HTML file in the desired folder. 
 
The problem is when i create a jar file ( to export my project to jar application) and run it from desktop or from command prompt. There, it does not work. From command prompt, it gives exception about main class ( even if i have determined the main class of the ExecuteReport). 
 
Why? What shall i do?

Copy/paste of the complete command line you use to try to generate the report, and the complete text of the resulting errors, might help diagnose the problem more readily.

But in the mean time, here's how I generate reports outside of Eclipse:

"$BIRT_HOME/ReportEngine/genReport.sh" -f PDF -F whatever.rptdesign

Thanks for your reply and your help.

So, i have a java project on eclipse with only this class(ExecuteReport.java).It works fine.
I export the project to a jar file and i save it to desktop.

In command prompt i write:" java -jar jarname.jar"

Then, i receive the following exception :
" Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/eclipse/birt/core/framework/PlatformConfig
Caused by:java.lang.NotFoundException: org.eclipse.birt.core.framework.PlatformConfig
at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(Unknown Source)
at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)
at java.net.URLClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)
at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)

Could not find the main class: ExecuteReport. Program will exit. "
