filtered Aggregation

Hey,

I created a report, wich you can see attached. I created a table where for each product the last six orders are shown. Additionally the yield for each order is shown.
If there are less than 4 orders nothing is shown. So far, so good

I did this by creating a variable "RowCount" which counts the rows for each product and grouped on the ProductNo.

Now I want to add two aggregations:
1. an average Yield on the two newest orders (RowCount < 3)
2. an average Yield on the orders with RowCount between 3 and 8

I did it by creating an Aggregation and using the filter, but this does not work because aggregations are calculated after finishing the group, I think. So stunningly only the first one showed a result but it was the Ave over all Orders.

Can anybody help me here?

I recreated it with the sample database. I could create the other problem I posted as well.
As you see the first AVE is computed but not the way I want and the second one is not even computed.
What I wanted:
AVE1 : Average over the first two Quantity Ordered
AVE2 : Average over the next X (in this case 3) Quantity ordered.

You could probably manually compute these values and just put them in the group footer, but I don't see a good way to get it to work using an aggregation within the group. It always gives an error the ways I've tried to do it. I'm thinking it's because I'm using an aggregation to count the rows and using it in the filter.

thanks for the answer. But how should I do this if I don't have the values before? I can't refer to single values in the table.
The only way I see are variables but I think there is a problem with filtering after calculting something with the variables. This could be optimized in the next update of birt.
It isn't consistent when you show a datafield with the variable and the variable itself. sometimes it is right, sometimes the displayed values are shifted one row.

And as I said, filtering with variables does not work right as I think. The variables are changes while filtering or something like that.

The only thing I can think of to try to make the filter in the aggregation work would be to have breought in your dataSet data grouped and sorted already and create a computed column in the dataSet that sets a row number.
