Win XP: VisualFormat/IE crashes on Win XP

Hello

I'm using windows XP. I'm able to launch teamsite, navigate through branches, create jobs, etc. But when I launch a template, all my IE windows close. The first time, I launched the template today, it did prompt me to install the visualformat and I followed the pre-install instructions given on the install page (eg: to change the IE security to medium). After doing this, everytime I launch a template, it closes all the open IE windows.

client OS: Windows XP
client browser: IE 6.0.2800 with SP1
server TS: 5.5.2.1 11360 20020908 on AIX 5

Did templating work for you before you installed VisualFormat? This is a supported configuration, I checked here:
https://support.interwoven.com/resources/products/compatibility/teamsite.asp

It might be helpful to see how templating works without VF as a troublshooting step.
Is this a new installation? If not, can you help to identify what has changed recently?

Please look for the update to visualformat for the IE 5.5 and IE 6 security update.

the only that has changed is the OS on my laptop. I was using win2000 and starting this week, I have win XP.
