BIRT Studio Report - Data Source Limitation

I have created and published report templates that include defined data sets.
I am creating a report using BIRT Studio with this template and selected the defined data sets available in the template.

Now i am trying to add information object on top of it.

In BIRT Studio Report, Can i combine defined data sets and Information object.

I would like to know whether this feature is available or not.

Please could you help me on this.

You cannot combine data set defined in a template with an information object in BIRT Studio environment. As a workaround here are a couple of approaches you can take:<br />
<ul class='bbc'><li>Create an IO for the data set that is defined in BIRT templates and use IO's in BIRT Report Studio.</li><li>BIRT Desginer allows you to create merged data set. So use Actuate BIRT Designer Professional to create a joint data set using existing data set and Information Object.</li></ul>
