Alternate Background Images

Hi guys

I am trying to place a background image on each page of a report, but the image that is on the front page will be different from the rest.

I have 2 separate image files (ofc! XD) and i've managed to attach one using the master page, but this then puts the same image on every page.

will some kind of script be necessary? something along the lines of if page number is 1 load image 1, else image 2?

Hi AdamUK88,

As it currently works, the master page is rendered once and a single report item can only be tied to one master page. If you want to have a different image, you'll have to create a second master page and use this master page with the items on the second page and beyond. If a report item is on the first page and second page, it will not switch master pages within this one report item. I believe in 2.6, the master page will be able to be switched after each page, regardless of whether you encounter a new report item. Let me know if this explanation is too confusing, I'll try again.

nah that made perfecte sense. but now poses the question, how to create additional master pages? XD

had a look around and experimented a bit but couldn't find anything. i'll keep looking but lemme know if u have the answer to hand

EDIT: Scratch that! i've created an additional master page. however, not managed to find out how to assign each master page to the report pages. any ideas?

i'll watch this thread for a week or so. if anyone wants to achieve a similar thing post it here and i'll write a little guide of what i did
