Change display value for ReportItem

Hi all,

what is the best way to translate a code coming from a dataset row to a display value if you have tons of such mappings (e.q. HashMaps)?

Is there a way to implement an own MapRule which holds a HashMap to translate the codes instead of adding a MapRule for every code-value pair?

Any input is appreciated.

Hi spacefrog,

You could create a computed column in your dataSet or just simply a new data binding in your table that uses java/javaScript to translate codes into values you want and then use that field in your report where needed rather than the encoded one.
