cascading parameter in report

Dear All,

i have an little complex report in which i have to select customer form dropdown.
and for product dropdown filled for selected customer.
on selection of product mapped location filled in location dropdown.
on selection of these 3 parameter report generated.

My problem is i have more then 10K customer which are mapped to various users. and so first i need to select user too.

it makes my cascading parameter query tooo heavy in BIRT.

I can pass all parameters for front end and generate report in 10 second.

nut if i wanna pass all parameters for BIRT it takes 10 mins to load parameters input screen.

Please Help this regard

Hi sonimanish,

If you had a way to figure the parameters outside of BIRT, you could pass them through hidden report parameters to BIRT and you wouldn't have to worry about BIRT's slow processing.

Another option could be to have one report with a select user parameter, list all the customers that are associated with that user in a report with a hyperlink that calls another report with that customer so they can select the just the location from that customer.
