Replicant event

Hi,

I am writing a very dynamic DCT with replicant.
I want to registry a callback function with a particular replicant, so when user expand/collaps the replicant, the callback function will be called to do some kind of process.

Can I do this?

We ended up writing a looping javascript that checks the number of replicants to the previous number of replicants (the last time the loop ran). If they differ, then activate the event. Not the most elegant solution, but until Interwoven creates an event around adding/removing/moving replicants, not a lot of options.

Did anyone receive the code for this?

What I can't figure out is what you would use to trigger off this code -- or is it continually running somehow?

What I would like to happen is : user adds a new replicant, this includes a select list, the select list is dynamic and can't have its option list defined via inlines so it needs to have its option list set via formAPI. So when the user adds the replicant with the select list I need the code to run then... otherwise it is an empty list.

Can anyone suggest a way to do this?

Sorry all... I didn't receive an email notification for this posting for any of the code snippet requests. I'm happy to provide the snippet. Would suggest looking into creating a custom event instead, though. Might be slightly more efficient.

Please send Lisa if you are interested in this feature. This feature is being considered for 6.5 but not finalized, so, the more number of customers need it, the more likely it is that it is going to be in 6.5.
