Adding Images to the report

In my report, i wanna add images at runtime in the report. I tried with "Image file in shared resources" option. But i m getting issue in rendering the report. In my Dataset I have a field called item. In my report i want to display picture of item along with its name. Below are the steps which i did.

1) I stored images in my workspace with the same name of item. e.g. for item P1234, image name is p1234.jpg.

2) I created a computed column of type string where i concated the path with image e.g.
"C:/Reporting Designer/workspace/" + BirtStr.trim(row["itm.item"])+".jpg"

3) Inserted image with "Image file in shared resources" option and selected the computed column from available column binding.

On preview i m getting images on the report. but if run report from server, i m not getting images on my report but it is showing only image name. Even when i close BIRT n open it agaiin and preview report, here also it is showing image name only not the image.

Can anybody help me to get out of this issue.....

Rather than create a computed column, add a Text item. Set the type to HTML and then build out your string there. You should put the entire HTML markup there. i.e. <IMG src="something.png">

That should cause the viewer to resolve the image and not simply display the path.
