performance issues.

Hi,
Am using birt 2.5.1 all in one.
using that i have created some reports including chart.
reports i have implemented scriplet data source.
hibernate i have used for implement scriplet data source and getter and setter
POJO i have used for setter and getter to to display data.
I have application dynamic project and reports projects separate.
through my application am accessing reports.
through eclipse am running application , here i can access n number of times my reports with any perm gem space issue.
but i have taken application and reports project war files and deployed in my tomcat manager.
when i try to access reports more then one its throwing perm gem space error.
kindly provide information to solve the problem .

You'll need to bump up your memory settings.
This is what I have -Xms256M -Xmx512M -XX:MaxPermSize=128M.
If 128M is not enough go up to 256M. That should take care of your issue.

I have increased tomcat jvm heap space upto 2 gb, but still am geeting same error

the heap space is something different then the perm gen space.
Increasing the heap space doesn't mean that you increase the perm gen space. You should be aware of the fact that the jvm can't use more then a total of 2gb of ram on 32 bit systems.
Increase the perm gen space to 128 MB ram using the jvm parameter: -XX:MaxPermSize=128M. 128 MB should be enough for perm gen.

Hi,
I have used below parameter to increase jvm memory space
-XX:MaxPermSize=2Gb.
but its through out of memory error.
but i have developed another project using different environment.
Os LINUX.
Version : 2.3.1
here i have used normal jdbc statements instead of hibernate .
its working fine with out any issues.
