How to use lists, arrays and maps on datasets
kik007
Hi there,
i´m using BIRT Version 2.5. In my dataset i want to create a scripted column. For it i need to itereate on two columns ( date and name ).
example.
name | week
===============
name 1 | 11
name 2 | 11
name 1 | 12
name 1 | 12
So here i want to add a column which checks redundancy and gives the value true for the first entry and false if the entry is given more then one time.
name | week | bool
=====================
name 1 | 11 | true
name 2 | 11 | true
name 1 | 12 | true
name 1 | 12 | false
There is no possibility to avoid the redundancy directly in the dataset.
So My Idea is to create a script that checks all entries in the dataset for each entry.
Can anyone give me a hint??

Hi kik007,
Is your data sorted when it comes in? If so, you could just use a couple variables to keep track of the last values of the other two fields to determine the value for your bool field.
