Date of Report creation

Hi everyone,

is there a possibility to equip the report with a timestamp of creation? In other words a "Last updated" - timestamp? How would that be possible?

Hi work_ph,

I assume in this context you are talking about when the BIRT report design was last modified. Other than having the person designing the report manually update a field, I can't think of an automated way to do this.

Of course, the last 'executated' date is easy to add to the report, and shows up by default in the BIRT Master Page footer.

Depending on how your are deploying your reports, you may just be able to pick up the actual file date from the *.RPTDESIGN file

...and then if you are deploying your reports to the BIRT iServer, then you can pick up both the last updated date, and specific version number of the report design.
