How to directly create a BIRT pdf report bypassing the HTML view?

Following is the requirement in Maximo 7 BIRT reporting
I need to run a report by clicking the browser view option on the toolbar and create a pdf directly instead of having a HTML view and then selecting the pdf format option. The Maximo i am using does not have SMTP integration so the reports cannot be scheduled and cannot be sent as pdf email attachment.

Also can we have different icons for different reports in the browser view option. If we can where do we set those icons?
