Own Report-Item Problem
QBiT
Hi,
i have created an own report item based on the rotatated label example. It basically takes a bunch of scaled images and puts them into a grid and currenty i have OUTPUT_AS_IMAGE which means one image is created at the end.
The problem is the page break on pdf files. If pdf page ends my image is cut and not completely visible. How can i create multiple images on pagebreaks. Or what is the preferred way to achive my goal here.
Thanks for your answers.
Jason - maybe you have an idea how to do this.

Any chance you can post your example or email it to me at

Hm i am not sure. I should ask projectmanagement first. Maybe these screenshots are sufficient for the moment. I would like to read your thoughts about them. These are two different plugins.

The problem is that no one can tell how many items are drawn at runtime. If the output is html then its not the problem. But the main output is PDF so we have pagination. And my problem is to somehow bring pagination into the rendering of these images (which is atm one big image).

Is the report setup as fixed layout or auto? Also what export option for pdf are you using? You could also try a custom master page size.

First of all thanks for your reply
The layout is fixed. Do you think i can achieve anything by having an auto layout? I attached a screenshot which shows the advanced preferences.
Where do i find the pdf export options you are talking about? Do you mean these renderoptions:
option = new PDFRenderOption();
option.setOutputFormat(RenderOption.OUTPUT_FORMAT_PDF);
Where do i set custom master page size? And if i set this can i still have A4 at the end? The report should be printable on A4 pages.

Hello QBiT,
have you solve the problem.
Maybe you can post here some hints how you did it.
Thanks.
