Image Issue
Mital
Hi,
We are using BIRT 2.2.1 provided by Fermat team for our application.
We are facing a wierd scenario for image, whenever we export our report to PDF.
The image bar is displayed accrodingly based on the percentage of the column value.
Depending on the value of Utilization Level % value, the image bar would be displayed with different spectrum of colors.
This is working fine in Report Viewer.
But when we export the report to PDF, the image bar doesn't show the correct color of the bar and always displays full color (for 100%), even thought the value in the column is 0.00%
I have attached the screen shot of the report.
Is there a workaround to fix the same in BIRT?

Hi,
Any thoughts or solutions on how to fix the image related issue, when we try to export to PDF?
We are using BIRT 2.2.1
Thanks,

Hi Mital,
Is this spectum bar just an image that you replace depending on the percentage? Or is it a working object that adjusts itself with different percentages?
Mital
Hi Michael,
The spectrum bar is a PNG image, which gets adjusted based on the percentage value of the "Utilization %" column.
We have following code on OnCreate script of the Grid, where image is referenced:
var width = 100 * Number(this.getRowData().getExpressionValue("row[UTILIZATION_LEVEL]"));
if(width > 100){
width = 100;
}
this.width = width+"px";

Mital,
Without having the image to be able to try it in a newer version of BIRT, I can't tell whether it's a bug in the PDF emitter with your version or something like that.
Even though you probably can't upgrade to a newer version of BIRT for production, you might try downloading a newer version of BIRT and trying the same to see if it works.

Michael,
I tried the same thing in BIRT 2.3 and its same issue with PDF.
In PDF, the image always displays full color (for 100%), even thought the value in the column is some random value ie. 23%, 40%, 89% etc.
