Restricting file types when using Import Files

Does anyone know how to restrict what types of files can be imported when using File > Import Files... or other methods available to users. We're trying to prevent them from uploading potentially damaging files , their own html !.etc.

This was the response from interwoven 12/02/2003...
"I was not able to find an existing feature for this, so I created a feature request for you and linked it to the case. This feature request will be prioritised by our engineering department in a time span of a week and then it will be distributed to an engineer. "
no response as yet...

What's the Feature Request #? I'd like to add myself to it.

Any news on this? I'm also interested. I don't know much about them myself yet, but has a more experienced user tried using a trigger to run a perl file after import. It could check the file extensions and then alert the user of the unacceptable file then delete it.

If anyone knows how to do this it would be greatly appreciated.

Well.. I'm the only IWOV engineer in this thread... all I can
say is that it's not in 6.1... you can imagine we can't
comment on future releases..

Looking at the Feature Request (FR 38173) I don't see any
specific customers attached to it, however. It helps a lot if
the FR has customers. Then it goes up in priority relative to
other features, bug fixes, etc (contact Support to do this).
