OD ports

A quick question. If we have a server behind a firewall with port 21 open for FTP, can we setup OD to deploy through port 21? Will that cause problems?

I'm not a firewall expert, but I would think if the port is open to accept TCP/IP traffic, both FTP and OD should flow through ok. (OD works over a TCP session.)

I would assume that you have to make sure the ftp daemon is dead on both OD server and OD receiver . . .and that it stays dead.

If your servers boot up and auto-bind port 22 with some ftp process, I think your iwod daemon will die because it can't bind to the configured port.

Other than that, I think deploying over port 22 would behave just like any other sub-1024 port.
