Eclipse preview mode versus regular "run"

I noticed that when we preview a dataset, BIRT actually invokes the initialize() method in the ReportEventAdapter. However, there is some code inside my initialize() method that I do not wish to execute during the "preview" mode, but rather only during an actual run.

Is there something in the reportContext that can tell me whether or not the initialize method was called by "preview"?

If I'm understanding correctly and you just want to check to see if your "initialize" method is being called, you could put in a logging function to be able to check.
