Relative path to image - API engine
Neza
Hi,
we are using API engine for generating BIRT reports at our test and production environment.
My question is how to set a relative image path in the master page that it is independent from environment (test or production)? Image is in the same folder than .rptdesign. The embedded image is not suitable for us.
BIRT Version: 2.5.1
API engine (BIRT Run time): 2.5.1
Thank you,
Neza

Hi Neza,
Linking to an image in a shared resource file doesn't work for you?
JasonW
If the image is in the same directory it should work if you define the background image with just a name (no pathing). Look at the xml view:
<property name="backgroundImage">test.png</property>

I just tried this with 2.5.1 and it worked for me:
<page-header>
<image id="177">
<property name="height">25px</property>
<property name="width">60px</property>
<property name="source">file</property>
<expression name="uri" type="constant">birtlogo.png</expression>
</image>
</page-header>
Try removing the back slash

Hi, Jason<br />
<br />
This do not work
I have no idea why not. Maybe is there something to set additionaly.<br />
We find the solution in parameter which has the path of the report and image folder.<br />
<br />
Thanks!<br />
<br />
Bye<br />
