Display totals for stacked bar columns

Hello!

Could you please help me to show totals above stacked columns in a chart with Y-grouping

There is a similar topic

but the example report cannot be downloaded

I managed to show totals for stacked bar chart without y-grouping using a second axis and just
drawing a column which is a total of those stacked columns and showing its value above the column

but it's different when there is Y-grouping

I'd prefer to use a script

Hi annnik,

Can you make a report with the sample database set up like you're talking about? Also, what is your BIRT version? Are you wanting to display all of the values of the different bars in the stacked bar as well? Or do you just want the total?

the example is attached with csv-file as a source

I want to see the total above each stacked column for each x-axis step, which will mean the total quantity for all brands per month in this example

for 1st Month - 36 = 10+11+15 etc.

If you're wanting to show the individual grouping values in each color and the total of those above the bar, I don't know if you'll be able to do that because all series labels available will be used. You could request an enhancement for a feature like this at http://www.birt-exchange.org/org/resources/bug-reporting/.

If you're looking to put just the total at the top, you could do a tooltip for each color so that the user can hover over the different colors to see their value, then just replace the top label with the total of the whole bar. I'm still working on this solution. If I get a solution worked out, I'll post it.
