Stack trace installing mashboard on linux

I have a prospect that has downloaded & installed iServer Express running Linux.
They have downloaded the mashboard and run into the following problem when he enters the url for the QuickStart homepage:

java.lang.LinkageError: JAXB 2.0 API is being loaded from the bootstrap classloader, but this RI (from jar:file:/usr/local/actuate/AcServer/servletcontainer/iportal/WEB-INF/lib/jaxb-impl.jar!/com/sun/xml/bind/v2/model/impl/ModelBuilder.class) needs 2.1 API. Use the endorsed directory mechanism to place jaxb-api.jar in the bootstrap classloader. (See http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/standards/)

This is followed by a stack trace.

Does anyone know if upgrading to the specified java version fixes the problem vs. crashes the iServer?

copying the jaxb-impl.jar file from the iServer's directory (Actuate10\iServer\servletcontainer\mgmtconsole\WEB-INF\lib) to iPortal's directory (Actuate10\iServer\servletcontainer\iportal\WEB-INF\lib) fixed the problem.
