Hello again,

I have got another problem with a BIRT report.
I have got a line chart. The x-axis contains the time units grouped by a parameter:

And the y-axis provides a success rate in percent. And I am not able to get this...

I am taking the data from a database. I need the creation_date (Date Time) and the Activities (Integer), where '0' stands for fail and '1' stands for success.

It would be great, if you can help me

I tried... but it doesn't work...

This is my sql query:

select creation_date, activities
from PROTOCOL
where creation_date >= ?
and creation_date <= ?

I have two parameters to limit the time period: "start" and "end".

In addition I created two computed columns:
(1) Sum (Integer, row["AKTIVITIES"], COUNT)
(2) Success (Integer, row["AKTIVITIES"], COUNT, row["ACTIVITIES"] == '1')

My results:
CREATION_DATE---ACTIVITIES--- Sum---- Success
09.02.2010 12:11

500---- 321
09.02.2010 12:09

500---- 321
09.02.2010 12:48

500---- 321
09.02.2010 13:26

500---- 321
09.02.2010 13:02

500---- 321
....

Line Chart:
x-axis: row["CREATION_DATE"]
y-axis: Finance.percent(row["Sum"], row["Success"]) -->Aggregation: I don't know... I tried count, average, percent sum...

I think the problem is my query or the computed columns.
But I don't know how I could make this work better.

Sorry for the delay. Thanks for bumping your topic back up here!

So, you just want the success rate for each week, month, year depending on the grouping in your chart? So, the Sum and Success columns are really not needed for the chart? Is this correct? Let me know and I'll try to put something together that works to show the success rates for you. What is your BIRT version again?

Yes, that is right. 
My BIRT version is 2.5.

The attached report shows a chart grouped by month with the "average" of the 1's and 0's in the value column of the dataSet. I don't have it set up to change groupings, but the average seems to work for me. Where were you setting the "average"? I set it in the x-axis sorting/grouping editor in the chart builder. Let me know.
