Are editable pdf reports possible thorugh Maximo BIRT?

The requirement is to have a editable PDF report out of BIRT as is possible through Oracle forms. The pdf that gets generated from the HTML view should be in editable. Is there a custom pdf emitter to handle this or is there a possibility to build a custom emitter which can handle this requirement. BIRT seniors please help.

It is not possible to create editable PDF reports using the existing emitter, however there are extension points for new output types so someone could create such a thing.
