Exporting to Excel

Hi all,

We are using version 2.3.1 of BIRT Open Source. We noticed that the Export to Excel for large
reports (10K rows say) is very slow. In some customer instances it times out.

Can anyone provide some information about the performance of the the Excel Emitter and
if there are improved versions out there? Any knowledge base on this would be appreciated.
