How can I use an Oracle Stored Procedure for a Maximo report ?

Hello there. I'm new on Birt. I am developing a report for Maximo 7, but before showing the report I need to do some complex data manipulation (calculate some values for inserting them into temp tables). I have written an Oracle Stored Procedure that does all the job, but I need to know how can I execute that SP from BIRT and get the output value from it.

I've done what it says on the following topic from this forum:

That solution is valid for SQL Server, so could you please tell me how to handle this in Oracle ???

Why do you want to use your store procedure inside a BIRT report ? Isn't the best solution is to call the store procedure by your application and then set the data in a working table, then do a query on your working table ?<br />

I used a lot of stored Oracle procedure inside java applications, but none return row data. At best it returns a cursor which could be read in a ResultSet object. Stored procedures aren't views, you can't make a query with that.
