Cross Tab Report
legend.ram
Hi,
Please help me to create a report with dynamic columns and rows. date in column area and Unit is row area.
The parameters are from date and to date as mandatory and Unit type as optional.
My tsv will have Date, Count, Unit data in every row. I tried to create report using CrossTab, but I am unable to calculate and insert variance( (Current_Column_Count-Previous_Column_Count)/Previous_Column_Count ) in the report.
Please refer the attachment for report data and report output format.
I am using birt 2.5.1 runtime.
Thanks in Advance...
Regards,
Ram

Hi Ram,
You want the Variance to definitely be below the value? Or can it be next to it?

Hi mwilliams,

Thanks for your reply... I want variance to the definite below value...
For example, Please look at the below one.

Jan-10 Feb-10 Mar-10
Unit1 100 120 110
Variance No_Variance 20.00% -8.33%

for Jan-10 no data available for previous month so variance not defined
for feb-10 variance is calculated on jan-10 data...

Regards,
Ram

Take a look at this example. There is script in the initialize method of the report, the onCreate of the measure element, and in the dynamic text box below the measure element. You'll have to do a little more to handle multiple "units", but this should get you started. Let me know if you have questions.
