Including BIRT Performance Scorecard Content in Mashboard

Hi,

I have created a mashboard which has seven tabs. On each tab I have created a portlet to have BIRT Performance Scorecard content (a dashboard). Since upgrading to BIRT Performance Scorecard 9.2 when I have used one of the tabs and then changed the tab I am using the Scorecard application has been logged out and I get the error:

Unable to process request.
Server error message:
Your web session has expired due to inactivity. Please close this window and log in again.

It has logged me out of Scorecard. I have checked the time out of the scorecard app and this is not timing out so it would seem that the mashboard is logging me out. Has anyone had this sort of issue before?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Paul,
I have not run into this issue before, but since the Mashboard runs inside iportal, you might want to try modifying your iportal timeout. Look for the LOGIN_TIMEOUT in Actuate10/iportal/iportal/web-inf/web.xml (or similar location) and increase the amount.

Hi Dan,

I have checked the LOGIN_TIMEOUT in the web.xml file in the web-inf folder and it is set to 1200 seconds but when the user is in the mashboard it logs the user out of BIRT Performance Scorecard when clicking on items in the mashboard instantly.

Paul,
I have a couple of quick questions for you to help me understand the problem:

1) When you log into the Mashboard, are you using a Scorecard username (databasename/username), password and Scorecard volume (under Show Login Options) on the login page?
2) After successfully logging in, do any of your portlets correctly display your Scorecard content?
3) What exactly are you clicking on to get the Server error message?
4) Was this previously working correctly in an earlier version than Scorecard 9.2?
