HTML-PageBreaks ignored, why?

Hi @all,

we are using Birt Report Viewer to design
notifications in form of letters and generate them
automatically to PDF with the Birt Report Engine.

But we have a problem with the Page-Breaks. We want
manual page-breaks with HTML-tags like (<p style="page-break-before: always;">some Text</p>)
cause there is one big text-field (see attached file).

In our Report-Class we set the RenderOptions HTML_PAGINATION -> true
but our HTML-tags(only the page-breaks) are ignored from the PDF-Renderer?!

is there a method or option to activate manual page-breaks from HTML?

Can you try putting a script like this on the text element that you have the br:

this.getStyle().pageBreakAfter = "Always";

I assume your are just using a render task and not a runandrender task.

in our reportClass we use the createRunAndRenderTask(design) from IReportEngine

I put your example-code to the script of the text-element
but the html-page-breaks still ignored from engine.

It's confusing cause HTML-Tags like "<p style="text-align:center">some Text</p>"
are working

.

can you try first doing a run task which creates a rptdocument and then a render task on the rptdocument?

i've now a new methode where the run-task and the render-task
are seperate. Output-Dokument is the same as before.
