External connection

I have developed a BIRT report using connection profile.


I have a iportal in workgroup mode on a remote machine, when i put this report on iportal's repository folder and try to view it, it works fine.

Now what my doubt is if there is any modification in my database credential, in that case do i need to make another connection profile and recompile all the reports with the newly created one.

cant i do something wherein i make modification in one location and it reflects at all the places.
