Displaying Dynamic Text & image

Hello guys

I had raised this issue previously,i had even got a response from a lot of people.
From what i understand,people suggested me to do this thing as done in the following link:

But this thing is not working for me.I get a cross in place of the image.I dont know if i am doing anything wrong.Is the script rite??

The code works fine. It's just that the second URI (the one for BIRT Exchange or imageSelector == 1) is broken. Try the following snippet of code instead:

if (params["imageSelector"] == 0){
this.setURL("http://www.eclipse.org/eclipse.org-common/themes/Phoenix/images/eclipse_home_header.jpg");
}else{
this.setURL("http://www.eclipse.org/eclipse.org-common/themes/Nova/images/eclipse.png");
}

One problem which i face here is that,if dont want an image for a particular condition for eg: imageSelector ==2,then i do not want any image in the image control,but i end up getting a red cross sign at left top end of the image.
How do i remove this thing when i actually need a blank output.

Try with the Visibility Property and you can do your validation in the Fn.

for a image in property editor you have property like visibility check the hide element and in Fx you can add your validation like params["image"] == null.That will hide the image component if image is null.

So does this mean i can follow such procedures to hide any control (eg. grid,data element or cross tabs) by giving a such validation.

i need to hide some grids & data element in the report when the data is 0 or null.
Is this possible??

Yes when there is no data you can hide element by using visibility property.
