is this the place where I can post topics about extending BIRT? (Maybe a new section is needed for this issue? :blink: )
There are only few examples about this, so I wanted so ask here how can I get some Data from Data sources into my custom report item.
I have made my report item based on this tutorial:

Here the input data came from the BIRT editor (the text "Reporting Item").
But I will to read the data from another Data Sources (DB or file).
How can I do this?
Any suggestions?
