Hello,

First I have to say that I am new in Bird and I am no technician

I have two reports. The second report calls the first report over a hyperlink with the parameter "customername". That works fine.
If I select only the first report to see all customers, always "customername" as parameter is required. Is there any possibility to set the parameter default value to "select all" or something like that?

thanks for your reply. I checked out the example. They put in "edit parameter" in position "default value" (All customers). I did the same, but I think this could not work and it doesn`t work. this can not be a standarized expression and there is also no column "customer" or "customers". So do you have any more tips for me?

If you have 2 separate reports and 1 is for seeing all customers, why do you have a parameter that would limit this report by customername? With 2 reports, wouldn't you only need this in the 2nd one. Maybe I'm not understanding your issue correctly.

I have one report which uses a cross tab to get an overview of the information. The customername is accessable by a hyperlink, which calls my second report with the parameter customer name.
Sometimes I want to call the second report to get all information of all customers. And by that the parameter should have as default value all customers. I didn`t want to make 3 reports (copy the second one and delete the filter).

It was like the example you sent me, but I don`t know how to implement the default value, like it was done in the example.

If I'm understanding correctly, you could edit the query in the second report to be a simple select/from statement with no "where" for the customername parameter. You can add the "where" statement in the beforeOpen script of the dataSet and just use the customername paramter that you passed from the first report. You could have an "all customers" hyperlink in your first report that passes "all" through the parameter. You can catch this in your beforeOpen script of your dataSet in your second report and not add the "where" statement if this value is "all". If I'm not understanding correctly, let me know. If I've got the situation wrong, if you could explain by showing what your reports look like, that might help.
