Compare persistent Report's

Hi Experts,

is it possible to save reports on birt iServer and compare them. The result should be a "delta" report in which all changed lines are marked. i know very abstract but only need a rough feasibility study.

Not sure what you mean exactly. comparing two reports might be a little tricky. I wouldn't go the route of comparing the rendered output because then you would just get a whole slew of differences due to different ID names and so forth that wouldn't be relevant. You could script something up that would compare the content of the report document (which is the "middle" format that BIRT creates during the run and render phase) and generate a diff report from that. That would require a whole lot of scripting, but we've written reports that use other reports as sources before for various things (performance reporting, reporting off a reports data, etc etc).<br />
