Change of Masterpage within a Table Object
urmel333
Hi,
i have a birt report (using 2.5.1 on windows) with a structure like that:
Table
Group Header h1 MP_Portrait
Group Header h2 MP_Landscape
Group Header h3 MP_Landscape
Group Footer f4 MP_Landscape
Group Footer f3 MP_Landscape
Group Footer f2 MP_Landscape
There should be Page Breaks after h1, which is done by setting
in h1 group datails "pager break after" to "always".
h2,h3 are displayed with MP_Portrait. i can set what and whereever page break properties and masterpage properties, i don 't get MP_Landscape on h2 and h3, the page breaks are there.
i already tried it with version 2.6, but it does not make any difference.
any ideas or proposals?
bye swen

Hi swen,
Currently, you cannot switch master pages within a report element. The way around this would be to filter a table to only show h1 data on the one master page, then filter a second table to show h2+ and use the other master page on it. You can always put in an enhancement request for there to be a feature like this at
http://www.birt-exchange.org/org/resources/bug-reporting/
.
Hope this helps.

swen,
Let us know what you end up doing! I believe it is still in the plan to allow multiple master pages within a single report object in future versions of BIRT, but it's just not supported at this time.
