Hi all, 
 
Please help me out in the following issue.......... 
 
I need to display detail count as well as a summary count of event name for one column.... 
 
For eg) 
I m having the following events 
1)EMP_DC 
2)GRP_DC 
3)EB_DC 
4)BEN_DC 
 
and i m having one group called operator ID 
 
For each operator ID some events may be there. 
eg) 
operator ID:FYZ12 
1)EMP_DC 
2)GRP_DC 
3)EMP_DC 
 
operator ID:WER13 
1)EMP_DC 
2)EB_DC 
3)BEN_DC 
 
I want to calculate the total count for each operator ID 
For FYZ12 operator ID there are 3 events 
but EMP_DC is same in 1st and 3rd. 
so 
my output should be 
 
operator ID:FYZ12 count 
1)EMP_DC 2 
2)GRP_DC 1 
 
Please help me....

Hi Sankari,

This sounds more like a SQL question ... However if you could provide the details of the tables you use this would help. Your SQL request will probably look more or less like :

SELECT OP_ID,EVENT_ID,COUNT(EVENT_ID)
FROM ....
GROUP BY OP_ID,EVENT_ID

Seems like you just need a second group.
You already have a group on OPERATOR ID, you need a second group on EVENT ID.

I also think you just need another group on "Event". Then you'll just have to make an aggregation that counts the events in that group and place it in the second column of your event group header and you'll have what you want.

But i am having some other pblm also.

Please find the sample design below.

Bl6--->Group1

Group1 Header:(display event name uniquely and count within the event name group)

eg)
EGL1_DC event is occuring 2 two times na it should display as

EGL1_DC 2

OperatorID---->Group2

Group2 Header:(display event name uniquely and count within the event name group)

eg)
EGL1_DC event is occuring 2 two times na it should display as

EGL1_DC 2

groupID->Group3

Group3 Header:(display event name uniquely and count within the event name group)

eg)
EGL1_DC event is occuring 2 two times na it should display as

EGL1_DC 2

Note:Detail row is present after the 3rd group "Group ID".So please help me how to bring detail row into the group header.

I have used table inside group header and it is working fine but it is taking more time.

What data are you trying to bring into the group header?
As I suppose it is data that is the same for every row within the group, you can use a function in the group header. So if you want for example a "Group description" in the Group header, you can use the MAX function on row["GROUP DESCRIPTION"] as a column binding
