Hi eddy00,

I have not seen this issue before. You should be able to use marker lines with either option. If you add a markerline in the chart editor, rather than in script, do you have the same issue?

I wasn't really thinking about vertical marker lines before. If you use "is category axis" there is no longer a scale on the x-axis, so there would be no concept of a "date" to be able to add a marker line at. It's all just categories. So, I'm guessing that it isn't possible with that option selected.
