Display expected rows in a main table group header without using another table.

Hi all,

Please find the sample design below.

Bl6--->Group1

Group1 Header:(display event name uniquely and count within the event name group)

eg)
EGL1_DC event is occuring 2 two times na it should display as

EGL1_DC 2

OperatorID---->Group2

Group2 Header:(display event name uniquely and count within the event name group)

eg)
EGL1_DC event is occuring 2 two times na it should display as

EGL1_DC 2

groupID->Group3

Group3 Header:(display event name uniquely and count within the event name group)

eg)
EGL1_DC event is occuring 2 two times na it should display as

EGL1_DC 2

Note:Detail row is present after the 3rd group "Group ID".So please help me how to bring detail row into the group header.

I have used table inside group header and it is working fine but it is taking more time.

I am having two tables, a main table and a inner table.

Main table structure is

GroupHeader1
GroupHeader2
Inner table(Displaying Event name and count)
Inner table is grouped by event name
GroupHeader3
Detailrow
GroupFooter3
GroupFooter2
GroupFooter1

Inner table structure is

Eventname count(Aggregation(sum)on count column on the group Event name)

EGL_DC 2
EGR_DC 1

while executing this report in pdf default page break is occuring within the inner table

output sample:

First page:Page1

Plan:abc(GroupHeader1)
Bus:ghj(GroupHeader2)

EventName count
EGL_DC 2
<Space>
<Space>
<Space>
<Space>

Second Page:Page2

Plan:abc(GroupHeader1)
Bus:ghj(GroupHeader2)

EventName count
EGR_DC 1
<Space>
<Space>
<Space>
<Space>

Notes:

Still space is there in firstpage second event is coming to next page.

Please help me out.....

Can you please provide a .csv file for each dataSet you're using and a report that uses these files so that I can see exactly what you're doing? Or recreate the issue you're having with the sample database. Thanks!

I agree with Michael. It seems you are trying too hard.
This should be possible with a single query and some Aggregate controls. We need to see some sample data and a report to determine why that is not working for you.
