I am unable to modify a report

Dear All
I am new to this BIRT reports, Right now i am using Eclipse Version: 3.4.2(for reports designing). In this i am unable open a report which is throwing an error, as "The report file of version "3.2.21" is not supported"), i checked in one of my report where the version is "3.2.17". Then I modified it into "3.2" then i am able to view the Layout in the Eclipse, but still showed an another error related to some property tag in the XML Source(like <sample_property> tags) then i deleted those 3 lines in each occurrence. But while executing from Eclipse it is throwing an error as "The report contains errors, would you like to continue for previewing?".
Can anyone guide me how to resolve this issue.
And one more thing can we configure our DB setting's for all the reports in a single file(like web.xml in java, If yes then where we have to do this thing) so that i can change only once for all the reports(No need to change in each and every report).

Are you using the newest version of BIRT? (2.6) What kind of errors are shown to you? (You can see them in the "Problems" tab in the bottom).

I checked in the report which i designed in the "XML Source" tab in that the version is "3.2.17" ( Means like this <report xmlns="<a class='bbc_url' href='

; version="3.2.17" id="1"> ), but the thing is i am unable to open a report of version "3.2.21". so how to resolve this, r else i have to download this specific version(any plugin like that). can u kindly reply asap...And my eclipse version is "3.4.2".

Try using BIRT 2.6<br />

; or first downloading eclipse 3.6 and then install BIRT through plug-in update, as described <a class='bbc_url' href='

. (I think BIRT 2.6 only works on eclipse 3.6)<br />

I'm pretty sure it will be able to open your file.

10q very much i am downloading this new (The BIRT designer is a set Eclipse plugins that lets you build reports as a perspective from within Eclipse. -- birt-report-framework-2_6_0.zip (md5)) and i will let u know the status.
