MetaData not inserted into database

I'm not a DAS expert, but I believe we are using it to insert MetaData into the database. It was working before, now it is not inserting in the database, even though it is showing up in the extended attributes file.
What could be causing this? Event subsystem? What log files could I check to see what is going on?

Is your DAS service up and running? Check the iwddd.log file. If you have configured EventSubsystem check if the service is up.
