Birt 2.6: Birt output not wrapping on special characters
vivash
We recently upgraded to Birt 2.6.1 (from 2.3) and found a problem that wasn't there with 2.3. Exporting to pdf the fixed width columns with long values always used to wrap around special characters, like space, colon, semi colon, dollar sign, back slash, dot, hypen etc. But, in 2.6 (2.6.1 as well) the large column values are getting cut off - basically they are not getting wrapped around non-alphanumeric character. They are wrapping for space and backslash, but not others.
Any configuration change that's required to get 2.3 behavior back? Would going back to old pdf emitter work?
Thanks,
-vivek

Any suggestion on this issue? This seems like an issue that everyone using pdf export should be having with Birt 2.6 and up. We also saw the pdf page numbers are also not coming correctly when exporting using Birt 2.6 (could be a different issue though).
Any ideas?
Thanks,

Looks like default settings have changed since Birt 2.3 and now we have to set the wrapping explicitly. I added the following renderoption when using API to execute reports,

pdfOptions.setOption(IPDFRenderOption.PDF_TEXT_WRAPPING, true);
pdfOptions.setOption(IPDFRenderOption.PDF_HYPHENATION, true);

This works for API, but how do I apply the same when running report using Birt Viewer? Is there a way to set these settings via report context in javascript?

Thanks,
