How to generate Word report using Java API

Hello,<br />
I want to know how to generate the report in .docx format using the BIRT runtime. <br />
* I searched this forum for the same but no success.<br />
* I also checked the API and found only html, pdf and excel render classes are there.<br />
<br />
So can you please tell me how to generate word documents using the BIRT runtime?<br />

Hi Sharad,
Actuate BIRT in version 11 has a new emitter that will export the report to a .docx format. You can download evaluation copy of BIRT Designer Professional that is good for 45 days from here:

I already have BIRT 2.6.1 downloaded, I did not understand what you meant by BIRT version 11?<br />
Also, can you please elaborate on which is the emitter class that generates .docx file?<br />

Hi Sharad,
I am referring to latest commercial release of BIRT from Actuate. It is built upon the foundation of open source BIRT and extends some of the features e.g. .docx emitter, support for flash etc. This emitter is not available in the open source version.
