Generate XSL-FO or FO file using BIRT design file

Hi,

BIRT uses FOP to render the reports. FOP needs XSL-FO stylesheet or FO file to generate the PDF. Is there a way to generate XSL-FO stylesheet from BIRT design file. Does the BIRT API provides interface to generate XSL-FO or FO file using BIRT design file as input??
