Data set execution in BIRT 2.2.1

Hi,

Is there any way we can specify the order of dataset execution in BIRT. How it will order the execution of the dataset (SQL's) while processing the report ?? is there any we can control the order of execution.??

We have requirement to have two different layouts for html and PDF, we have placed both in one report page based visibility option displaying html/pdf layouts. Both HTML and PDF layout controls are are using same datasets. Is there any way minimize execution of datasets second time.

The data sets are executed when they are needed by the report components.
If you have two Tables (with conditional visibility) they will both still execute their query.

You might be able to nest them in another table or Grid and have them inherit from container to prevent the second query.
