Change Visiblity of Parent Grid if Chart inside Grid has no data

Hi,
In my report I have a usecase of hiding the parent grid if the chart in one of the column of grid doesn't have any data in attached JDBC data set.

Is there any way to do this, I don't want to fire the same Query again just to check whether there is any data or not ?

Have the Grid bound to the dataSet and have the chart inherit.
