Customize parameter popup message

Hi,
We have a input parameter - 'rpFromDate' which is a required field.
when the report is previewed in Eclipse BIRT without any value set for the parameter, a pop up 'rpFromDate is required' is obtained.
we need to display the message as 'From Date is required',i looked the below post -

I would like to know if there is any alternative solution (like some scripting in beforeFactory() method or so)

No, you cannot script the Parameter Dialog in beforeFactory. The parameter dialog is not part of the BIRT runtime, it is something the Web Viewer generates be running a ParameterExtractionTask on a report design, and is not part of the same cycle as the Initialize or BeforeFactory lifecycle.

I would recommend that you use an external HTML page as a parameter dialog if you require any modification, or modify the JSP page that controls the parameter dialog.
